When the air is gone, it is advisable to head for the town hall square in Hallbergmoos.
Cyclists have recently found a service station there.
Hallbergmoos
- The bicycle, as emphasized by the head of the municipality Josef Niedermair, who has now opened the base together with members of the cycling working group, is good for people and the environment in two respects: "It saves petrol and CO2 and promotes it, I personally see that as particularly important , health.” The community has invested around 1,200 euros in the bike service point.
"It's well worth it," emphasized Niedermair.
"We hope that we will win over many cyclists."
AKR boss Schu is happy: Good thing for cyclists from outside
Georg Schu, head of the citizens' working group on cycling (AKR), knows that the bicycle is being used more and more as a means of transport.
“More and more cyclists are coming from outside.
And because a repair workshop is not open at all times, such a service station is a good thing to help yourself quickly.
You can find the right tools at the station for pumping up air, changing tires and small repairs.
(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)
Schus thanked the municipality for covering the costs and the unbureaucratic support.
If the offer is well received, the citizens' working group on cycling can certainly imagine setting up more service stations - at the Hallbergmooser S-Bahn station or in the industrial park, for example.
Incidentally, the volunteers are in the process of signposting a local circular cycle route.
There will also be signs pointing to the service station.
