Donald Trump's recommendation to threaten Russia with the use of nuclear bombs because of the Ukraine war has caused widespread horror in the USA.
While representatives of both parties clearly rejected the idea, the late-night moderators were particularly pleased that Trump no longer had anything to say in Washington.

"Everyone knows that we are a nuclear power," said Seth Meyers, for example, about Donald Trump's proposal.
Nobody needs to be reminded of that.
One can count oneself lucky that Trump is not in office during the Ukraine war.
"No one needs the suggestions of a dork like Trump," who "wouldn't find Ukraine or Russia on a map," Meyers said.

Washington DC – With a view to the Ukraine war, Donald Trump is certain: If he were still President of the USA, the war would not have happened.
That would not have happened "with 100 percent certainty," Trump said in an interview with the conservative news channel Fox News.
"They say it was my personality that prevented the war back then," Trump said in his familiar manner of unnamed people who are said to always say what he would like to hear about themselves.
From Donald Trump's point of view, Russia's President Vladimir Putin and not even his Ukrainian colleague Volodymyr Zelenskyi* are to blame for the war.
Instead, the responsibility lies with the incumbent US President, Joe Biden, who will first travel to NATO* in Brussels this week and from there on to Poland.
Poland shares a border with Ukraine that is more than 500 kilometers long.

But all of this is far too late, according to Donald Trump.
Joe Biden had all the trumps in his hand, but gambled away the good cards and now has hardly any opportunity to intervene in the Ukraine conflict.
"Because he's stupid," was Trump's simple verdict.
Biden would not only be ripped off by Russia, even the US allies in the EU* and the common defense alliance NATO would take advantage of the United States.

In addition to Joe Biden, Donald Trump also made serious allegations against Vladimir Putin in the Ukraine war.
The Russian President would accept the deaths of thousands of civilians and would not hesitate to commit further atrocities.
Before and during his tenure, Trump had always praised Putin to the skies and boasted about his friendship with the Russian president.

The Russian President has changed, he looks different and one has to worry about his health.
Trump had already recommended bombing Russia itself, with US Air Force fighter jets, on which the flag of the People's Republic of China* should first be painted in order to blame Beijing for the attack.
Shortly thereafter, Trump's former lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, reported that his boss had once threatened Putin with the bombing of St. Basil's Cathedral in Moscow *.

When it comes to military aid, Donald Trump would of course go further than his successor Joe Biden.
Trump would send nuclear-powered submarines to the Ukraine war.
They would have to be equipped with nuclear warheads beforehand.
"For my sake, we have the best nuclear weapons in the world," Trump said.
They should now be used to threaten the Kremlin.
"Let's all pray to God that we never have to use them," Trump said.
