War in Ukraine: More fighting during the night - the situation in the morning

The war with Russia is raging in Ukraine.

According to this, parts of the Russian army would even withdraw back across the Ukrainian border to their home country.

Ukraine War: The Events of the Night and the Situation in the Morning

Already yesterday evening further severe losses of the Russian army in the war with Ukraine were reported.

Ukrainian forces would attack more and more high-value targets in Russian-held areas.

The destruction of a Russian landing ship in the port city of Berdyansk on Thursday was cited as an example.

Both the European Union (EU)* and NATO* announced yesterday evening that they want to continue supporting Ukraine in the war with Russia.

The EU states want to set up a solidarity fund to provide financial support to the country.

This is intended to help the country to rebuild after the Russian war of aggression and the enormous destruction.

NATO wants to continue supplying Ukraine with surface-to-air missiles and anti-tank weapons.

Despite Zelenskyy's urgent appeals, the 30 NATO countries will not deliver any tanks or aircraft.

"There is a limit, which is not to become a party to the war," said French President Emmanuel Macron after the NATO special summit in Brussels on Thursday.

Ukraine war: situation in the morning - what is important today

In a late-night video message, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy* thanked the people of Ukraine for continuing to resist Russia.

Thanks to this help, they were able to stop the enemy.

To say goodbye to the NATO summit in Brussels, US President Joe Biden* meets EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.

Around 2.2 million refugees from Ukraine have entered Poland so far, and the majority have stayed there.

Biden only wants to find out more about the humanitarian operation to care for the refugees in the city of Rzeszow, near the border.

He will also meet US soldiers stationed in Poland and come to the capital, Warsaw, for talks with the Polish leadership.
