Dozens of Palestinians participated today in a vigil in the Wadi al-Rababa neighborhood in the town of Silwan, south of Al-Aqsa Mosque, in rejection of the Israeli occupation's settlement plans in occupied Jerusalem.

According to Wafa Agency, dozens of Jerusalemites and solidarity activists participated in the vigil at the invitation of the defense committees of Silwan and the Wadi al-Rababa neighborhood, in rejection of forced displacement, house demolitions, land seizure and Judaization.

The participants called on the international community to assume its responsibilities and pressure the occupation to stop its crimes and Judaization schemes that amount to war crimes and to provide international protection for the Palestinian people.

The town of Silwan is constantly targeted by the occupation in order to implement its plans to Judaize Al-Aqsa and its surroundings by demolishing Palestinian homes, displacing them and seizing their lands.
