PV systems, cargo bikes and the like: the municipality of Putzbrunn has revised its energy-saving support program.

Putzbrunn

– The municipality's energy-saving support program is intended to encourage homeowners to make energy-efficient renovations in their buildings and thus reduce energy consumption.

There are now several changes to the funding for 2022, with a total of 50,000 euros available.

According to treasurer Karola Schulz, the budget for funding was exhausted in November 2021, although applications were still available.

Due to the decisions of the Transport and Environment Committee and the 2022 budget, an expansion of the previous funding program is necessary.

Schulz had marked numerous points that she would like to delete or change in future funding.

For example, the combination with other state subsidy programs, advice on the topics of solar and photovoltaics, e-mobility and charging stations, the promotion of roller shutters, cargo bikes and pedelecs, wall boxes or private charging facilities.

Cargo bike for the car?

"We should support that"

Doris Böhm (Greens) criticized in the Finance Committee that a PV system without electricity storage is currently not being funded: "The storage is very expensive, not everyone can afford it, we should change that." For Mayor Edwin Klostermeier (SPD) are next PV systems also make sense for electricity storage “to call up the excess electricity generated during the day at night or when it is cloudy.

No electricity generated should be lost, so we should promote both." Gerhard Fink (SPD) called for the financial support for cargo bikes to end: "Anyone who can afford such a bike for 6,000 or 9,000 euros does not need any funding", he said – but Boehm disagreed.

You want as few as possible to drive a car, "if someone sells their car and buys a cargo bike for it, we should support it".

Eduard Boger (CSU) criticized the previous funding for PV systems and battery storage systems that were far too large.

A roof system with 15 kWp and a battery storage with 10 Ah (ampere hours) - "these are very good values for private households.

We shouldn't promote larger systems," Boger demanded.

But even a PV system without storage saves "enormous energy" and thus costs, countered Robert Böck (GPP): "A private household cannot consume more than 10 kWp per day."

After a long discussion, the committee decided to subsidize PV systems up to a maximum of 15 kWp and a maximum of 2500 euros, battery storage up to 15 Ah and a maximum of 1500 euros.

Against the votes of Böhm and Maria Feiner (CSU), there is no longer any support for cargo bikes and wall boxes, but apartments under 50 square meters will also receive grants in the future, for which the balcony PV systems are interesting.

The purchase of roller shutters is no longer funded.

The details of a scrapping bonus for electronic devices and the promotion of the regional purchase of energy-saving devices, as in Grasbrunn, will be determined before the municipal council meeting.
