A cold front has moved across the coastal areas of Guangdong, and the associated northeast monsoon is affecting the area.
Locally, the temperature in most areas this morning was two or three degrees lower than yesterday.
The weather forecast for Hong Kong today is mainly cloudy, with a few showers later, and the weather will turn significantly cooler. The daytime temperature hovers around 24 degrees, and at night the temperature drops to about 18 degrees, with moderate to refreshing north to northeasterly winds.
Looking ahead at the Observatory, Monday and Tuesday are still cool with strong winds and occasional showers, and the weather will improve for the next two or three days.
The Transport Department said that the entire line of Clear Water Bay Road (towards Kowloon) near Pik Uk Correctional Institution, which was closed earlier due to a traffic accident, has now been lifted.
