Major Periel Kalimi, 35, was convicted this month of civilian rape, a kitchen worker at the naval base where he served.

Publication of the case in Walla!

Flooded with lawyer Shimon dripping memories from about thirty years ago, when he was 9, about indecent acts that he said were performed by the father of Officer Priel Kalimi, Rabbi Begin Kalimi.

The rabbi, now 61 years old, serves as the director of a Chabad house in the Kiryat Menachem neighborhood of Jerusalem.

About twenty years after the incident, in 2011, Nataf complained at the police station. However, in 2016, the rabbi was acquitted due to doubt, in part due to his testimony at the trial of Ben Priel.

"Priel contradicted all sorts of factual claims I made, such as the fact that we studied together in fourth grade, or that there was an annual trip and the like," recalls Shimon Nataf, in a painful post he posted on Facebook on Saturday night. "I had it. I folded quietly and progressed in life. I did what I could. It did not work. That's what it is. Almost six years have passed."

Shimon Nataf is a highly regarded jurist.

He serves as a researcher at the Ecclesiastical Policy Forum, a Jerusalem resident currently studying in New York, a law graduate from the Hebrew University, and the father of five children.

Therefore, the court believed his testimony, and even ruled that "he provided a factual detail that contained many details and an accurate description of the acts. The impression is that these are things that the complainant remembers and that he delivers the things as they are as burned into his memory."

However, in the end the judges objected and stated that "in view of the question marks as questioned above, and although we were impressed by the appellants' testimony, the accused should be acquitted of the offenses attributed to him."

"The same Priel, who I know whose father is a rotten pedophile, fell very close to a tree. A family of sex offenders," Nataf claimed in a post, in which he regretted not revealing his story in public. " I have something. I realized I was just thinking about myself. I was thinking about myself and mine, instead of thinking about everyone else who keeps getting hurt. About everyone else who keeps getting hurt. Go know, maybe if I had published the story a decade ago, Priel would have gone the other way. Go know, "Maybe his father's credit taught him that you can do whatever you want and get out of it. Do I have any responsibility for what happened to that unfortunate worker? What about other children who may have been harmed by him in the meantime?"

Shimon Nataf's story begins in first grade.

"I was a cute blond boy who excitedly entered Talmud HaTorah for the first time. I remember the new bag, the classroom, and the first activity with my rabbi, Rabbi Begin Klimi," Nataf said. Back and said his name. I fell in love with him immediately. Klimi was my rabbi from then until the end of third grade. I quickly became his favorite student, and for three years I went through a series of sexual assaults on his part. In the teachers' room, in the classroom, on annual trips There was his toy. "

Among the assaults he experienced, Nataf said that two of the cases are remembered to him in a very tangible way.

"In third grade, and I clearly remember the class and the structure in which it happened, I approached Klimi to ask a question in arithmetic or sub. His desk had a front part that hid what was happening behind him. "The class, but without anyone noticing what is happening. Everyone sat in the places and wrote in the booklets."

The second case, Nataf said, occurred when he was in fourth grade: "I was 9. Klimi no longer taught in the Talmud Torah, but here a new character enters the picture - Klimi's son, Priel. Priel that year studied with us in class, at least part of the time. "Klimi the Elder, who was no longer a rabbi in the Talmud Torah, joined as an 'accompanying parent.'

Rabbi Klimi, as stated, is acquitted of the charges. "

"I have great appreciation for the police and prosecutors who accompanied this incident, but there is no doubt that they could have done a better job," says attorney Shimon Nataf. Check my factual allegations. My assailant came out entitled to all the charges. I did everything you told me to do: I was not afraid. I overcame. I stood with all the mental strength it required and complained, was interrogated, humiliated. "In the end, 'just'. All so that the pedophile who harmed me will be released with a 'judicial kosher certificate'."

"Choosing to talk about it in public was unbearable," Nataf reveals. Zealously? "

"I had every reason to continue to maintain public silence. First and foremost, the fact that Klimi the father came out is entitled. The consequences of the exposure on me and how others perceive me. The silence. The exposure to a defamation lawsuit on his part. Why do I need all this? The name. Everything's true. I'm also aware that he exposes me to legal threats in the form of a defamation lawsuit. silencing".

Nataf went on to write: "I hope that the publication will contribute to the discussion about child sexual assaults in general. The difficulty of children to tell even when there is a supportive and warm family and parents. I hope the forces I gathered to publish the harm I went through will help To this day and most importantly, I hope the publication will shed light on lesser-known victims: those whose perpetrators came out are entitled out of doubt. .

For about two years, since the arrest of Major Priel Klimi, his father, Rabbi Begin Klimi, has accompanied him to all the hearings in the Navy's military court, where defense attorneys Adv. Tami Ullman and Adv. Yaakov Shlomovich will soon argue the sentence.

Rabbi Kalimi, who as stated wins the indictment against him, has not yet responded to the claims of Adv. Shimon Netaf.
