The Chinese Academy of Information and Communications Technology announced that the Chinese electronics industry witnessed a steady expansion during the first two months of this year.
"During the months of last January and February, the added value of major electronics makers increased by 12.7 percent year on year, compared to a growth of 7.5 percent for the industrial sector as a whole," the academy said in a report released today, according to Xinhua.
The report noted that during the two-month period, the fixed-asset investment growth rate in the electronics industry was 35.1 percent, 15.3 percentage points higher than the growth of industrial investment at the national level, and the value of China's electronic products exports increased by 11.4 percent year on year during the period.
