Significant disruptions to train traffic including delays and cancellations: An engineering tool of a contractor on behalf of the train that worked today (Sunday) in the Lod station area apparently hit several communications cables in the area, causing a signal failure in the Lod and South area.
The stations: Netivot, Sderot, Ashkelon, Ashdod, Yavneh East, Rehovot, Beer Yaakov and Lod - closed for service.

Israel Railways recommends that passengers use alternative public transportation services.
Israel Railways technicians are on site and working to repair the fault.
