Volunteer fire brigade Berglern complains of major financial losses at the annual general meeting.

After the new elections, there is now a new board of directors.

Berglern - "I am pleased that after three years we can hold a meeting again," said Chairman Martin Drexler, opening the annual general meeting of the Berglern volunteer fire brigade in the sports home.

In his report he praised, among other things, the young people who had been so active in the Clean Landscape campaign on the same day.

The fire brigade is also planning a big anniversary celebration for the 150th birthday in 2024, which has already been a topic in the meetings.

A festival committee has already been set up, which can show the first results of its work.

The fire brigade association has 178 members, plus 19 young people: "You can see that we are not a small association," says Drexler.

In addition, the fire department was able to record eleven new admissions.

"We actually had a lot planned," said the chairman.

Due to the pandemic, however, the club was only able to implement a fraction of this.

Drexler's report was correspondingly short.

Nevertheless, he summed up: "But we didn't let ourselves be defeated.

It was important that we present ourselves and that we keep it going.”

No festivals, no sales: the Berglern fire brigade has a deficit of around 6,000 euros

Treasurer Stephan Bauer was able to report that 3431 euros were spent on firefighting equipment.

Because there were no festivals, there was hardly any income, which explains the deficit of over 6000 euros.

According to commander Alexander Gerbl, there have been six newcomers to the active squad in the past three years, with only three leaving.

14 were added to the youth, there were five resignations.

The youth department now has 21 members, eight of them girls.

72, eleven of them women, are in service with the adults.

93 members may sound good, but Gerbl couldn't leave out the topic of "daily alarm security".

The chairman had already emphasized the great importance of youth work, and the commander underpinned this with figures: the fire brigade recorded six transfers from young people.

Balance sheet of the volunteer fire brigade for 2021: 105 missions over 665 hours

118 missions are recorded for the fire brigade, of which 105 were technical assistance and 13 were fires.

Ten storm operations had to be completed, which, according to the commander's report, took a lot of time.

The missions totaled 665 hours.

The practice operation was restrained, also due to the pandemic.

The adults did 1437 hours of exercises and training.

"We have a deficit of ten breathing apparatus carriers," the commander had to report.

That has to change.

The volunteers worked a total of 4528 hours for the general public.

This also includes a lot of office work.

The statutes of the association had to be revised.

It was accepted unanimously.

New election of the board: Tim Fruhstorfer is the new deputy chairman

The election of a new board of directors was also on the agenda.

This now consists of 1st chairman Martin Drexler, deputy Tim Fruhstorfer, who succeeds Michael Eberl, who had no longer stood as a candidate.

Kathleen Lewandowski remains secretary.

The first treasurer is Sven Fruhstorfer, his deputy is Stephan Bauer.

Assessors are Franz and Andreas Röslmaier, Uwe Lerch, Michael and Stefan Bauer.

Anton Bichlmeier and Heinrich Krämer check the cash register.

Thomas Strobl is the flag bearer.

Anton Fruhstorfer has resigned from his position as assessor.

He has held a senior position at the club for 27 years.
