The glamor of Cannes will soon spill over into the favorite teen app.
The social network of Chinese origin TikTok struck a blow by announcing on March 15 a partnership with the famous film festival.
Climbing the steps, backstage, meetings with celebrities… TikTok promises to provide its service with exclusive images and to bring
“a new perspective”
on the event to its billion users.
“We are delighted with this partnership, which will allow us to share the magic of the Festival with a wider, global audience
,” declared Cannes Festival General Delegate Thierry Frémaux, emphasizing that this collaboration
“is part of a desire to diversify our audience."
TikTok is on its way to becoming a go-to player for major global events.
Just at the beginning of the year, the application was a partner of the African Cup of Nations and the Euro 2022 Handball.
