) - There is more and more military air traffic in the Upper Palatinate.
One reason for this is the Ukraine conflict, which has developed into a war since the Russian attack.
Two long-range bombers (Type B-52) were now circling over the US base in Grafenwoehr (Neustadt an der Waldnaab district).

The Air Force informed the portal on request that the B-52 was part of "Task Force Bomber Europe".
For months, the units have been training regularly with airmen and soldiers from other NATO members.
This should improve cooperation.
"The rotation of the Bomber Task Force gives us an excellent opportunity to integrate and train with our allies, especially during this difficult time," said Gen. Jeff Harrigian, commander, US Air Forces Europe and Africa.
According to the report, the B-52s then continued to fly in the direction of Romania.
There should be a practice mission there.
