The demands were also focused during the governor’s tour, which comes as a continuation to inspecting the reality of the residential communities in the villages that recovered after the terrorist war on Syria about establishing a health point in the area, securing health staff and medicines to treat leishmaniasis, and rehabilitating Quneitra Hospital, which was destroyed as a result of terrorism, in addition to securing fuel oil. For farmers, fodder and veterinary medicines for their livestock, which are estimated to number about 25 thousand sheep and hundreds of cows.

Engineer Daham Al-Saeed, Director of Economic Units at the Public Establishment for Drinking Water in Homs, indicated that the Corporation seeks to find emergency solutions to secure water for these villages by digging a shallow well in the area, while Engineer Younis Hamdan, Director of Homs Agriculture, explained that the Izz al-Din area is famous for its olives, almonds and some rainfed crops. But its largest agricultural activity is based on raising livestock, as the directorate provides agricultural and veterinary services to farmers through its extension unit.

Engineer Kanaan Juda, Director of Homs Communications, indicated that during the next few weeks, the telephone exchange in the area will be operated and the communication network will be expanded to serve the largest number of its residents as an emergency plan, while Engineer Bassam Al-Rifai, Director of Electricity in Homs, stated that the staff of the Electricity Corporation will work hard to maintain the electrical network, and the transfer station will be ready. Within four months, while the engineer, Amin Al-Issa, director of technical services in Homs, pointed out that the workshops will work on maintaining the dirt roads in those villages and removing the dirt berm at the entrance to the village of Salim from the side of Salamiyah Road.

Dr. Musallam Al-Atassi, Director of Homs Health, indicated that a medical point in the area will be equipped and staffed with medical staff to treat leishmaniasis, or a mobile clinic will be sent to these villages. The good.

In a statement to reporters at the end of the tour, Eng. Parsik stressed the necessity of continuing the work of the administrative units in securing services and maintaining infrastructure in these villages according to a timetable that is adhered to, pointing out that there are strategic solutions through an agreement with the Ministry of Water Resources to dig two wells in the Shumariya area and extract their water. To these villages in addition to delivering the second batch of diesel fuel to the farmers in support of the continuation of their agricultural plans.
