The exhibition of fine art that was held in the hall of the Arab Cultural Center in Safita today included 43 paintings presented by the two artists, Carmen Jabbour and Adnan Semaan, with the participation of young talents from the city.
The exhibition entitled Spot Light, in which the participants displayed a group of their works that varied between surreal, figurative, abstract and silent nature schools with different techniques of pastel, oil, earthy and lead shading.
The head of the Cultural Center in Safita, Rania Abdel Latif, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the exhibition is an opportunity to support young and amateur plastic artists and discover hidden talents that deserve attention.
The plastic artist, Carmen Jabbour, participated in five paintings with different themes, in which she embodied the strength, vigor and suffering of women, especially in these difficult circumstances, as a woman who struggles to raise her children and secure the necessities of her home while standing by the man’s side, adopting the expressive school, especially in drawing large faces, prominent eyes, and green and earthy colors. As a symbol of holding on to the earth.
The plastic artist Adnan Semaan participated in two paintings, one of which is a painting of war, which embodies, according to his expression, the inner state of man and his daily suffering. The painting of survival depicts the survival of love and hope with the stormy weather, pointing out that he relied on painting his paintings on oil and on the surreal and abstract schools.
Jane Darwish, a student at the College of Engineering and the Abyss for Painting and Plastic Art, participated in the exhibition with two paintings. And calm.
In turn, dental student Samir Mohamed, who is participating in the exhibition, also presented two paintings that embody silent nature and relied on the colors of wood and lead.
It is noteworthy that the exhibition will continue until next Thursday.
