The siblings have many fans on Facebook: the search ad for a new home for the two golden retrievers has already been shared more than 6,000 times.

A "dream couple", find the users.

Nuremberg – The Nuremberg animal shelter is looking for a new owner for the two golden retrievers Josie and James on Facebook.

You inspire a lot of people on the platform.

Some users also met the two offline, when they met at the Nuremberg dog parks.

At the animal shelter in Nuremberg: siblings and together for life

Josie and James, 7.5 years old, are siblings and have been together all their lives.

They had to go to an animal shelter because their owner was ill.

Both are "just nice", describes the Facebook page of the animal shelter in Nuremberg, they "like other dogs and children".

They have a hunting instinct, but are “super available” once they have settled in.

A home with cats is not suitable, also do not leave them alone for too long

The Nuremberg animal shelter goes even further into the requirements that should be met in the new home: cats should not live there, and a new owner needs enough time or a job that can be done from home.

The two siblings learned to stay alone for about three hours, but only with each other.

The two should not be separated even for a short time.

James suffers from hip problems

In an update, the animal shelter also announced: "Unfortunately, it turned out today that James has unilateral HD and currently needs painkillers." HD stands for hip dysplasia, which is a malformation of the hip joint.

A new owner should therefore be prepared to take care of the supply of painkillers.

However, anyone who is suitable for taking in James and Josie will be rewarded with the pleasant nature of the dogs.

The siblings describe the animal shelter as a “dream couple” in the Facebook post.

The comments from users who know the dog couple confirm that. “Know Josie and James from the dog park.

Both are a wonderful team and real dream dogs!” writes Janet Flach.

"The two are really super available and absolutely lovely!" commented Manu Köppel.

So there are good chances of a successful, long-term placement, as they regularly succeed at the Nuremberg animal shelter.
