Now, in light of the war in Ukraine, we have re-examined whether the well-known mystics saw it coming - and we have discovered that Nostradamus and the dead blind witch, Baba and Noga, did indeed foretell us such a cruel war.
In fact, the two's predictions were pretty much identical except for the one dealing with the fate of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
While Nostradamus predicts a cruel fate (drowning death later this year), the blind mystic sees a more rosy future - and a blacker world.
The Bulgarian mystic known as the "Nostradamus of the Balkans" passed away in 1996 when she was 85. Almost 30 years have passed since she finished delivering her predictions - and they still resonate and attract worldwide attention.
Her followers claim she was right in 85 percent of her prophecies, while experts have calculated and reached a lower figure (68 percent).
Among its predictions from its 50 years of operation you will find the sinking of the Russian submarine Kursk, the rise of ISIS, the terrorist attack on September 11, the Brexit, the Chernobyl disaster and the death of Princess Diana.
Her millions of followers believe she had supernatural abilities including telepathy and the ability to communicate with aliens.
They believe she got her powers after being caught in a tornado in her youth and blinded.

In 1979, she met with the writer Valentin Sidorov and told her that Russia would become a "world power" and Europe would become a "wilderness," the Mirror reported.
According to the Birmingham Mail, her prophecy goes like this: "Everyone will be thawed, like ice. Only one will remain untouched - Vladimir's glory, Russia's glory. Too many become victims. No one can stop Russia."
She added: "Everything will be removed by her from the road and not only will she survive, but she will also become a world power."
In her prophecies she also spoke of the use of nuclear weapons and of World War III.
The mystic has additional predictions for 2022, the most credible of which is the takeover of our lives by virtual reality, when she says people will spend more time in front of the screen than outside (this has been happening for years).
Unfortunately, it is also an epidemic - not the corona, but one that will be found in Siberia and spread by a frozen virus that will be released due to climate change. She says many cities will suffer from water shortages - and this will have fatal political consequences.
In her predictions, Noga also talked about aliens, who would invade with the help of an asteroid in search of life on Earth.
She said they would not be friendly: "Spaceships will attack the Earth, bomb cities and take people captive."
Baba Wenge, whose real name is Vanilla Gustrova, also predicted a famine in India, where temperatures would reach 50 degrees Celsius, which would lead to a locust attack on crops.
It also predicts more “banal” disasters like earthquakes and tsunamis in Australia and parts of Asia.
She also has more optimistic forecasts: she predicted that by 2047 our life expectancy will reach more than 100 years thanks to advanced organ transplant technology.
If we look at the big picture, Noga predicts a change in the Earth's orbit next year, astronauts arriving in Venus in 2028, Muslim domination of Europe in 2043 and the use of artificial sunlight in some areas of the Earth in 2100. And when is the end?
Contrary to mystics who claim that the end of the world is near, she believed that the world would come to an end in 5079.
As we have noted, quite a few of its predictions have not come true, such as the one concerning the 45th president of the United States who was supposed to bring about a crisis that "will overthrow the country."
