The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that the bodies of civilians bearing signs of torture and painted with neo-Nazi symbols and the Nazi swastika were found in the cellars of liberated buildings in the city of Mariupol, Donetsk People's Republic.
"Civilian bodies were found with signs of brutal torture, with neo-Nazi symbols and swastikas painted in the basements of the buildings of the city of Mariupol," said Mikhail Mizintsev, head of the National Defense Management Center at the Russian Defense Ministry.
The Russian army continues to assist civilians in their safe exit from the city of Mariupol, where clashes continue between Russian forces and the extremist Ukrainian Azov Brigade, which uses the civilian population as human shields in the military operation.
