Today, the activities of the second Al-Shahba Poetry Forum began in Aleppo in celebration of the International Poetry Day, with the participation of a group of poets on the stage of the Arab Cultural Center in Aziziyah.
In a statement to SANA reporter Ben Jaber Al-Sajour, Director of Aleppo Culture, the importance of celebrating Poets’ Day through this forum, which includes a constellation of the city’s poets and brings together different generations and provides an opportunity for young people to renew Aleppo’s presence as a city of art, poetry and civilization.
Among the participants, the poet Wafaa Sharbatji presented a collection of sentimental poems, pointing out the importance of the forum, which creates interaction between poets, especially the young ones.
The poet Abdel-Gawad Al-Saleh presented a poem entitled Al-Sham and the Lord of the Spring, indicating the importance of these purposeful cultural activities that are concerned with artistic, literary and cultural movement.
