This will not change much in the last days of the month.

On March 15, the sky over Bavaria began to turn reddish.

For days, a veil of the finest Sahara dust lay over Bavaria* like a photo filter.

It did rain in some areas, but that didn't improve the situation.

After all, there was a lot to do for the car wash operators.

And as if March hadn't set enough records already, it added another with the Sahara dust invasion.

It was the strongest Sahara dust event since 2008 *, confirmed researchers across Germany.

The question now is how will the weather* continue?

Will camel caravans soon be moving through the foothills of the Alps?

Probably not.

But our connection to the largest desert in the world does not break.

For the middle of the week, clouds of fine, red dust from the Sahara have again been announced for southern Germany.

The concentration will probably reach its highest level on Wednesday. At least that's what the weather model of the University of Athens predicts.

After that, however, the Bavarian 1001 Nights romance is over.

In fact, rain was announced.

At the start of April, the now rare wet comes down from the sky again.

But apparently we can't do without extremes anymore.

Because it shouldn't just rain.

In some parts of Bavaria, snow and sleet showers* cannot be ruled out either.

"The maximum values ​​will rush down by 15 degrees," writes qualified meteorologist Dominik Jung in his forecast.

Before that, however, it will remain sunny and warm.

Today, Monday, March 28th, will probably be the warmest day of the year.

The thermometer is climbing above the 20 degree mark in many places.

In a band from Würzburg to Passau, it is almost as warm as early summer.

The temperatures only drop a little in the north-east (Hof: 17 degrees) and in the south-west (Kempten: 18 degrees).

In any case, the sun shines throughout the Free State all day long.

Hoch Peter*, the last in a long line that began with Hoch Kai at the end of February, is leaving us tomorrow, Tuesday.

And it suddenly gets colder.
