A young Israeli woman was killed in a car accident in Mexico, and four others were injured

According to eyewitnesses, ambulances transported the injured to a hospital in the city of Valladolid in the state and local police have opened an investigation.
The news of the young woman's death was given to her family, and the Foreign Ministry is working to bring her for burial

A 23-year-old Israeli woman was killed over the weekend in a fatal accident in Mexico, and four passengers who were with her in the vehicle were injured to varying degrees.
The news of her death was given to her family yesterday, and the State Department is assisting in providing medical care to the injured.
According to media reports in the country, the accident occurred on Saturday at the 186th kilometer of the Merida-Cancun highway.
The five Israelis were driving a Chevrolet without license plates, at excessive speed.
At one point, the driver lost control of the steering wheel, got off the road while applying the brakes, the car overturned several times until it finally stopped.
Eyewitnesses called emergency and rescue forces and it was reported that within minutes ambulances arrived to transport the tourists to Valladolid General Hospital.
Officials from the Yucatan State Attorney's Office arrived at the scene to gather evidence and investigate the circumstances of the accident.

The Department of Israelis Abroad in the Consular Affairs Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in cooperation with the Israeli Consul in Mexico, deals with the issue and contacts the wounded while finding an appropriate medical solution and transferring them to the hospital. In Israel, the ministry expressed hope that the coffin would arrive in Israel in the coming days.
In addition, the Department for Israelis Abroad is in contact with the victims of the accident.
One injured person from the accident is still in the hospital and all the other injured have been released.
