On Monday, Chérif Delay, 32, appeared before the Versailles Criminal Court for offenses of repeated domestic violence from 2016 to 2022. Two former companions denounced psychological pressure, stabbing threats, blackmail and regular violence from the part of this former child victim, who was raped and abused by his mother and stepfather, Myriam Badaoui and Thierry Delay.
But during the hearing, to everyone's surprise, Chérif Delay admitted to more serious facts than those for which he was on trial.

I wanted to kill them, I knew what I was going to do
," he said.
One of the complainants was stabbed in the thigh during an argument.
The other was held at gunpoint.

," he admitted from the box.
While the president of the court asked him if he understood the seriousness of his confession, Chérif Delay insisted on wanting to "

The court therefore declared itself incompetent to judge these facts and requested that the case be referred to an examining magistrate for additional investigations.
The latter indicted Chérif Delay in the process and placed him in pre-trial detention.

According to a source close to the case, Chérif Delay recanted before the investigating judge, returning to his confession made a few hours earlier.
