The National Commission for Network Services granted an initial work permit for an electronic application in the field of banking services to Syria and Gulf Bank on its “SGB” application.
The Director of Regulation and Licensing at the Commission, Engineer Madeleine Al-Shelly, explained in a statement to the representative of SANA that the Commission asked the bank to complete the necessary approvals and licenses from the Central Bank of Syria in preparation for granting it the final permit based on the controls and regulations for electronic applications operating on the network.
According to Al-Shali, the application allows the user to perform a set of financial operations using a mobile phone or tablet as it is integrated with the banking system, calling on those wishing to obtain a permit to make any application on the Syrian network to communicate with the Directorate of Regulation and Licensing in the Authority.
