Due to congestion resulting from multiple inquiries, the Ministry of Housing is debating whether to end the "discounted apartment" lottery today or extend the deadline.
Currently, Beer Yaakov, Rishon Lezion and Or Yehuda continue to lead the demand table of the 31 localities - but are these really worthwhile destinations?

The race for a discounted apartment is expected to end in the near future, unless the Ministry of Construction and Housing decides to postpone the end date for registration for the lotteries.
The office is discussing the possibility of postponement due to loads resulting from multiple inquiries.
Meanwhile, 98,279 people have registered for the lottery, which is 89% of those eligible for registration.
Currently, Beer Yaakov, Rishon Lezion and Or Yehuda continue to lead the demand table of the 31 localities.
In Beer Yaakov, first in the table, 31,565 households are competing for 512 apartments in the lottery.
In nearby Rishon Lezion, 30,554 households are competing for 409 apartments.

The cities ranked in the lowest position in the table are Turan, Carmiel and Nazareth.
In Turan in the Lower Galilee, 72 households were registered, competing for 18 apartments.
In Karmiel, 996 households registered for 24 apartments were registered, and in Nazareth, 1,024 households registered for 90 apartments were registered.
Since the registration for the apartments opened, disruptions have been recorded on the website of the Ministry of Construction and Housing, due to the congestion.
The ministry was quick to reassure the public and send a message that the site is being processed, but since then the Ministry of Housing is considering extending the registration date for lotteries so that more people can enter and register.
