Mayor of Be'er Sheva: The Negev will become our nightmare, we need to reinvent the police
About a week after the attack in his hometown, Mayor Danilovich sharply criticized the conduct of law enforcement and the political echelon.
He presented an outline for turning the Negev into a sought-after housing area and accused politicians of neglecting the area.
"In 2050 there will be no Jewish majority here, we will see a civil uprising here," he warned

Beer Sheva Mayor Rubik Danilovich sharply criticized this morning (Tuesday) against the statesmen and law enforcement agencies.
Danilovich made the remarks during the presentation of an outline for turning the Negev into a sought-after housing area, and on the eve of the week following the terrorist attack that took place in his city, in which four people were killed.
"By 2050, there will be no Jewish majority in the Negev," he warned.
"Today we are only two-thirds. The state creates two weak states in the north and south without a Jewish majority and a low socio-economic status. And it will leave only Jerusalem and Gush Dan."
In his opening remarks, he mentioned the deadly attack in the city alongside the one that took place in Hadera earlier this week.
"Since the Guardian of the Walls, the reality in the State of Israel has changed," he warned.
"Personal security has been undermined alongside terrorist and criminal incidents. I have devoted the last few months to a deep discourse in the political, political and security spheres. You saw me screaming in the media, but it's time to take action. "Neither right nor left, not one government or another. Something bad is happening to the State of Israel."

"The State of Israel is captive to the wrong concept," he continued.
"Some people think the threats are miles away here. But no, the threat is internal."
He then pointed the finger of blame: "Governance must be restored and civilian terrorism must be fought, and of course the Negev must be turned into a housing solution in Israel and it is in the Negev. The police are battered, they are unable to deal with crime and terrorism. The police have become a negative brand. "
