Despite health problems, Queen Elizabeth was able to attend Prince Philip's memorial service.
Prince Andrew, of all people, turned out to be – literally – her great support.
London – In the presence of numerous representatives of the European nobility, Queen Elizabeth (95) made it unmistakably clear at the memorial service for Prince Philip how she felt about her son Prince Andrew (62).
Even after the abuse scandal, she obviously still thinks highly of the Duke of York.

Prince Andrew's already mixed reputation has plummeted due to the recent abuse scandal.
Virginia Giuffre (38) had accused the 62-year-old of having sexually abused her and even filed a lawsuit.
The royal was able to settle the legal dispute with a payment in the millions, but not to save his reputation.
In the British royal family there are now hardly any people who stick by Andrew.
Even his brother Prince Charles (73) and his nephew Prince William (39) are said to have made it clear several times that he was unwanted in the Royal Family.
In all likelihood, there will be no more public appearances with the royal family in the future.

Prince Philip commemoration: Queen Elizabeth sends a clear signal
Until the last few minutes, it was not clear whether the ailing monarch would even be able to attend the memorial service in honor of Prince Philip.
When the palace confirmed their arrival, many royal fans were relieved.
Queen Elizabeth traveled from Windsor Castle to London with Prince Andrew.
It was not the heir to the throne, Prince Charles, who escorted her to the church, but also Andrew.
On the arm of the 62-year-old, she entered Westminster Abbey – a clear sign that, despite all the scandals, she stands behind her son and wants to show this to the entire world.
Prince Andrew was even assigned a seat in the front row for the ceremony – so there was no question of being banished to the farthest corner.
After the service, too, he supported the regent and brought her outside to her chariot.
So it seems as if the 95-year-old wanted to show even the last critics that as a mother - come what may - she will always stand by her son.

Palace insiders assume that the Duke of York will no longer appear in appearance from now on.
He's not even said to be attending the Regent's platinum jubilee celebrations in June.
