The President of the Donetsk People's Republic, Denis Pushilin, stressed that the removal of traces of neo-Naziism from Ukraine is a broad and dangerous process that we must carry out.
"The eradication of Nazi ideology from Ukraine is not limited to the elimination of criminals, but requires legislative and educational work that extends for years," Pushilin was quoted as saying today by the RIA Novosti news agency, adding that this ideology has penetrated over the years in various sectors, and we are working here also in Donbass to eradicate it.
This is not a matter of one year, Bochlin explained. Our mission is to reveal everything and change everything to prevent the revival of this ideology.
The Russian Ministry of Defense announced yesterday that it had found the bodies of civilians bearing signs of torture with neo-Nazi symbols and the Nazi swastika painted on them in the cellars of liberated buildings in the city of Mariupol, Donetsk People's Republic, while many photos showed Ukrainian nationalists, especially those belonging to the Ukrainian "Azov" battalion that bears the thought of Neo-Nazis hoisting the Nazi emblem alongside their emblem and the NATO emblem.”
On the other hand, Pushilin did not rule out the possibility that his republic would consider joining Russia after the completion of the liberation of its territory from Kyiv's forces, indicating that "the republic's authorities plan to benefit from the experience of the Chechen Republic in the reconstruction of cities after military operations, especially the city of Mariupol."
Pushilin's statements come after the President of the Lugansk People's Republic Leonid Pasechnik recently announced the possibility of organizing a referendum in Luhansk on joining Russia.
