Theatrical life magazine quarterly devoted its new issue file to talking about the Damascene theater with chapters from its history and biography of its figures, in addition to talking about experiences and visions of Syrian playwrights and demonstrations that took place on the stage in Damascus and the governorates.

The issue's speech, written by the magazine's editor-in-chief, Joanne Jean, touched on the theatrical text competition announced by the Directorate of Theaters and Music last year and its role in supporting the cultural movement with new and promising pens.

The file of the double issue 116-117 sheds light on the Damascene theatre. Critic Ahmed Boubbs wrote about the visiting theatrical groups and their role in the renaissance of Abi al-Funun in Damascus.

The file also included an article about Abdel Wahab Abu Al-Saud, the pioneer of the Damascene theater, while Nabil Tello spoke about the Damascene theater between two times, reviewing a group of names from Abu Khalil Al-Qabbani, Tawfiq Al-Otari and others, and the teams that formed in the 20th century.

Amina Abbas touched on the conversations of the Damascene theater with the artist Ahmed Khalifa as an actor, writer and administrator in the band of the late artist Mahmoud Jabr, in addition to his contributions to the university, labor and military theater groups.

Through the theatrical life, Asmaa made a presence on the Syrian stage in local and foreign forums, through interviews with the director and artist Jihad Saad, theatrical artists Samir Al Badaish, Suhail Haddad, Rais Atassi, Talal Al-Saleh, and musician Ayman Zarkan.

The issue also presents the names and phenomena in the march of the Syrian theater from the late Ghazi Tulaimat, one of the pioneers of poetic theater in Syria, and the late artist Ahmed Mansour, in addition to pages from the history of Hamwi theatre.

In the issue there are studies of problematic issues that dealt with the child's theater and its role in the comprehensive upbringing and the influence of the Russian director and theater theorist Stanislavsky on Arab theater and others.

The issue also presented a panoramic view of a series of theatrical performances and activities that the Syrian scenes witnessed recently, in addition to studies on Arab theatrical phenomena and flags from Iraq, Egypt and Algeria.

Theatrical life published a number of texts, which are (That War) by Mahmoud Ahmed Awad, the three bullets by Shadi Sawan, pictures from the memory of life and death by Shaker Shaker, Al-Hila Island Mali by Nader Akkad and savings by Elias Al-Haj.
