The president of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, reported on his Twitter account that 2,163 alleged gang members have been captured in 4 days.
Bukele asked the president of the Assembly to call an extraordinary session to adopt more measures to combat violence.
The session will start this Wednesday at 2 pm (local time).
