The Berlin public prosecutor's office has ended the investigation into the federal executive committee of the Greens because of the payment of corona bonuses.
The initial suspicion of infidelity was not confirmed, said the spokesman for the Berlin Attorney General, Martin Steltner.
The procedure had already been discontinued on March 24th.
The case concerned a special corona payment that the Greens board had granted in 2020.
Former party leader Annalena Baerbock had already asserted in January that she wanted to cooperate with the authorities in the matter "completely and naturally".
The ex-co-party chairman Robert Habeck, who had also received a bonus, said the same thing at the time.
The investigation was about a corona bonus of 1500 euros per person.
All employees of the Green Federal Office received it in winter 2020/2021.
The federal board had approved the special payment itself.
The process had been criticized by the auditors of the Greens.
He was not covered by the internal party rules.
The board members could have received a maximum of 300 euros, which were "agreed on by the collective bargaining agreement".
After accepting an initial suspicion, the Berlin public prosecutor's office finally began investigations.
