An impossible equation.
If a small majority of Les Républicains sympathizers is in favor of an alliance after the presidential election, their aspirations are difficult to reconcile.
This is revealed by the latest Odoxa-Backbone Consulting survey for
Le Figaro
: 23% want an alliance with the National Rally, 17% with Reconquest!
and finally, 21% with La République en Marche.
Worrying results for Valérie Pécresse.
“
If she does not qualify in the first round, and she comes in 5th position behind Éric Zemmour, the risk of the LR party implosing is real
”, indicates Gaël Sliman, president of Odoxa.

Abstention, electoral risk for Le Pen, political risk for Macron
"
On the side of Marine Le Pen's party, which opinion polls give behind Emmanuel Macron and which, according to the Odoxa study, best embodies the right-wing current among the French, one in two RN sympathizers is for total independence.
“
It's a composite electorate
,” remarks Gaël Slimane.
“
Like Marine Le Pen, 60% say they are right-wing and just over 30% are apolitical.
She managed to seduce other categories while convincing the faithful of the FN that it was possible to adopt a transcurrent positioning, which goes beyond the left and the right.

The pro-Zemmour plebiscite an alliance with the RN
Among supporters of Reconquest!, 76% are in favor of an alliance and in particular with the RN (60% against 24% for LR).
“
However, even if Éric Zemmour brought in defectors from both parties, we imagine him making a rapprochement with LR first rather than the RN
”, analyzes Gaël Sliman.
In general, the temptation of the alliance is increasingly strong among the French on the right: they are 56% to wish it for Reconquest, 57% for the RN and 61% for LR.
"
By dint of seeing the right lose, voters believe that we must ally to have more weight
", judges the pollster.
