Two men, Thomas Rosano and Jean-Paul Zani, sentenced at first instance to eight and ten years in prison for kidnapping and theft with violence against the manager of an Ajaccio bar in December 2018, saw their sentences confirmed on appeal Wednesday March 30 in Bastia.

On Saturday December 29, 2018, shortly before a concert, four armed people operating with their faces uncovered burst into the bar in front of a large number of witnesses.

They had hit the manager before fleeing with the cash register.

A few days later, the latter had filed a complaint against X without naming his attackers.

In this so-called “

La Part des Anges

” case, named after the Ajaccien bar where the facts took place, two other men, Julien Alessandrini and Jean-David Giarrizzo, were sentenced in August and September 2021 to 12 years and eight years respectively. years in prison at first instance and withdrew their appeal.

All four had been indicted in March 2019 in this case but these indictments had been canceled for defect of form in November 2019. They had been again indicted for these facts in March 2021.

Meanwhile, in another case, Thomas Rosano and Jean-David Giarrizzo were indicted in January 2021 for murder by an organized gang and criminal association as part of the investigation into an assassination committed in June 2020 on the terrace of a snack bar in downtown Ajaccio.

Julien Alessandrini was sentenced in 2012 by the special Assize Court of Paris to an 18-month suspended prison sentence in the case of the so-called "

youth cell

" of the FLNC-Union des Combattants, accused of having committed a fifteen attacks in 2007 and 2008 in Corse-du-Sud.
