Bad Nauheim – The temperatures are getting milder and the ticks in Hesse are becoming active again.

TBE is an inflammation of the brain, meninges or spinal cord.
This can be transmitted by viruses after a tick bite.

The eastern and south-eastern districts as well as the district of Marburg-Biedenkopf are particularly affected, as the Hessian state hunting association announced on Wednesday (03/30/2022).

Vaccination against TBE is recommended for all people who are in or live in a risk area and could be bitten by ticks.
