It reflects the concerns of the people, as well as a reminder of the ancient Syrian theater.”

In Hama, the lecture hall of the Directorate of Culture hosted a lecture entitled “Theatre Engineering” by the architect Majd Hijazi, which dealt with the essential role that the theater building embodied in the success of the show.

Engineer Hegazy pointed out that the theater is a complex architectural formation that requires a lot of study and conditions to play its role to the fullest, because it includes the stage on which performances are performed, in addition to the spectators' hall and other halls for the administration and the preparation of the actors.

Hijazi reviewed with pictures the types of theaters, including open, Greek, Roman, sports and multi-purpose theaters, indicating the considerations to be taken into account when designing theaters, which include entrances, exits, ceilings, horizontal and vertical viewing angles, chairs, and others.

Hegazy concluded his lecture by saying that theaters and art and culture houses should be designed so as not to alienate viewers from visiting them, with the need to provide maximum comfort in watching and sitting in the theater and to achieve the pleasure and benefit of the visit.
