The Prime Minister, Naftali Bennett, and the Minister of Internal Security, Amar Bar-Lev, and the Commissioner of Police, Chief of Staff Yaakov Shabtai, agreed today (Thursday) on an additional 181 million emergency intensification for the Israel Police.

The budget will be transferred to the police in two stages: NIS 111 million immediately, and by August, NIS 70 million will be transferred.

As stated, the budget increase is given to the Israel Police in light of the significant challenges it faces today as well as in light of the operational gaps that have accumulated in recent years.

According to the agreement, the money will be transferred to the establishment of the "Border Brigade" based on reserve forces, recruitment of 200 permanent fighters for the Border Guard, 6,500 ceramic vests, 4,000 helmets and 40 motorcycles, equipment for 10 border border companies and recruitment of volunteers, condensing and strengthening National Guard and reserve mobilization.
