While millions have been talking since the beginning of the week about the unusual case, which since it took place both Will Smith and his wife Jida Pinkett have had time to comment on, Rock made sure not to comment on the case or issue a public statement on the matter.

Last night (Wednesday), during his standup appearance in Boston, the comedian first responded to the incident, in which he was allegedly attacked by Will.

- A question received with laughter.

"I do not have a lot of material dealing with what happened, so if you came to hear about this story, know that I have a whole show I wrote before last weekend. I'm still kind of digesting everything that happened. So at some point I'll talk about this shit, and it's going to be serious and funny. ".

Rock ignored a call from a man in the audience who shouted "Fuck Will Smith" and continued with his show, which lasted an hour.

"I'm going to tell some jokes," he said.

"It's nice to just be outside a little bit."

According to reports, since the incident ticket sales for Chris Rock's upcoming standup shows have skyrocketed.

A ticket website called "TickPick" told the American media that the comedian sold more tickets for performances in the day that has passed since the Oscar ceremony than in the entire month preceding it.
