Thuringia's Prime Minister Bodo Ramelow (left) has campaigned in the state parliament for an extension of the existing Corona rules beyond April 2nd.
“A residual structure of defense mechanisms is necessary.
For this we need the authorization of the state parliament that Thuringia is a hotspot, ”said Ramelow on Thursday in the parliament in Erfurt.
Erfurt – In view of the high number of infections, it is important to maintain basic protection.
Ramelow renewed his criticism of the federal government's approach of leaving regulations to the states.
"I wish the federal legislature had determined what should apply."
In the special session, the state parliament is dealing with the question of whether the mask requirement in schools and in retail and the access restrictions in gastronomy should continue to apply.
To do this, Parliament would have to agree on a hotspot regulation, which was requested by Ramelow's red-red-green minority coalition.
