The Syrian-Argentine Friendship Committee in the People's Assembly discussed today with the Argentine Ambassador in Damascus Sebastian Zavala ways to strengthen and develop relations between the two countries.
The head and members of the committee stressed the importance of establishing relations between the countries of the world on the basis of mutual respect and international covenants, noting that Syria had always emphasized in all international forums the necessity of combating terrorism and non-interference in the internal affairs of any country.
For his part, Ambassador Zavala stressed the importance of strengthening Argentine-Syrian relations, which would have a positive impact on the parliaments and peoples of the two friendly countries, noting Syria's support for his country in all issues of concern to it, especially the Falkland Islands issue.
