To commemorate the 400th anniversary of the birth of the author of
Tartuffe
, the Académie des Molières has renamed its 33rd edition the 400th Night of Molières.
The ceremony will take place live from the Folies Bergère on France 3 on May 30 at 9 p.m.
It will be presented for the second consecutive year by Alex Vizorek, who, incidentally, is in the running for the Molière for humor.
“We tried to embrace as many shows as possible
,” warned Jean-Marc Dumontet, president of the Association des Molières yesterday.
