The Guerrero Attorney General's Office reported Thursday that it is investigating the murder of six people in the municipality of Chilapa de Álvarez, in the central region of the state.
The authorities said through a statement that on Thursday morning they received a report about the discovery of human remains inside a vehicle.
Investigate armed attack that left 4 people dead and 5 minors injured in Guerrero, Mexico
The human remains had been placed in black and transparent plastic bags inside a car.
The car was parked on Boulevard Eucaria Apreza, in Colonia La Villa.
Agents of the Ministerial Investigative Police moved to the scene to start the investigation.
The Prosecutor's Office said that, until now, the bodies are unknown and were transferred by personnel from the Forensic Medical Service.
