A missing 29-year-old Latino man was found dead in a remote area of a north Los Angeles park Thursday night with his dog.
It would be Oscar Alejandro Hernández, who had been wanted since March 16, according to the local network NBC4, although
the authorities have not officially confirmed his identity.

Los Angeles Police had issued an alert last week asking for assistance in finding Hernandez.
He had last been seen that day at 2:30 a.m. in the Griffith Park area, driving a red Ford Explorer.
"He has not been seen or heard from since. His family is concerned for his safety," the police report said.
Family and friends printed fliers for Hernandez stating that he had been seen near the park's hiking trails.

Park rangers requested assistance after a body was found on the eastern edge of the park at 7:12 pm local time Thursday, the Los Angeles Fire Department said.
The Los Angeles Police and Fire Department, park rangers and family members participated in the rescue.

Next to the body was her dog, King, who was emaciated but alive, a cousin of the victim told NBC4.
Local authorities indicated that the causes and circumstances of death are being investigated.
