VW recall: Affected cars have to go to the workshop twice
Owners of the affected cars must then bring them to the workshop.
However, this requires two appointments.
The first involves removing the old component, i.e. the engine cover.
The risk of fire is averted for the time being and removal only takes a few minutes.
However, it could still take a little while before the new cover comes on the engine, which is why a second workshop visit is then necessary.
Because according to
ADAC
information, the required spare part is not yet available.
