With "Hartz und Herzen" the RTLZWEI viewers get an insight into the lives of the Benz barrackers - and also into that of their children.
Christine wants to break with a cliché:
The Mannheim Benz barracks are a problem area, a cult district and home at the same time.
The RTLZWEI social documentary "Hartz und cordial"* has been accompanying the residents of the district in their everyday lives for several years.
The residents of the former workers' settlement of the square city have become real celebrities and are now known throughout Germany.
In addition to Janine, Elvis, Katrin and the now deceased Dagmar, the 44-year-old Christine can also be seen again and again in the TV show, as MANNHEIM24* reports.

"Hartz and cordial": Young people in the Benz barracks struggle with prejudice
After Christine got a shit storm online for her luxury expenses *, there is also positive news to report: The 44-year-old has her autistic son Dominik visiting more often and has a good relationship with him.
In the 60th episode of "Hartz und Herzen" the Baracklerin wants to eradicate a cliché.
Christine shows how she lives and gets a lot of hate for it.
Above all, a stubborn cliché seems to scratch the nerves of the barrackers: "People always say: If you are a Hartz IV recipient, the children will be the same," summarizes Christine in the social documentary.
Again and again, the single parent had to listen to the opinions and criticism of others who grumbled that Christine Hartz IV was referring.

"Hartz and cordial": Residents of the Benz barracks talk about Hartz IV clichés
So that Christine isn't alone.
Other viewers' favorites have already spoken out against the nasty hate messages on the Internet - above all the family man Elvis.
In a "Hartz und cordial" episode, the audience's favorite asks a very specific question: "When you see me on TV with Adidas and supposedly expensive shoes.
So I ask myself, how do these people imagine a Hartz IV recipient?” But the clichéd image of a Hartz IV recipient also seems to affect the Barackler's children.
In a conversation with her son Dominik, the 44-year-old Christine makes it clear that it is in no way true that the Barackler's children also receive Hartz IV.
Dominik shows exactly the opposite - despite his illness: "I have a job.
I have a life.
I have my own appartment.
I pay my own bills," reveals Christine's offspring in the 60th episode "Hartz and warmly".
The single parent admires his ambition and determination.
"Hartz and cordial": Son Dominik is Christine's pride and joy
"I always raised you that way.
You've always seen that I fought with what I wanted," the 44-year-old reveals to Dominik on "Hartz and cordially".
He inherited his fighting spirit from her, the barracks woman continued.
"I'm also kind of proud of myself that you're like that," reveals Christine in the 60th episode.
Dominik is currently putting all his energy and ambition into music.
The autistic seems to have found an outlet in music to process his problems and feelings - but now he would like to turn his hobby into a job and build a second mainstay with rap*.
