There are still almost three weeks until the Kreuzlinger Feld referendum.

The investors Thomas Vilgertshofer and Rainer Bardenda (HI Wohnbau) now took stock of their campaign against the referendum.

Germering – In over 2000 conversations with Germeringers at 17 information stands, the feedback was overwhelmingly positive.

From Bardenda's point of view, the fact that there are already 1040 prospective buyers for the planned 600 residential units is also a significant number.

Kreuzlinger Feld: The data

During the conversation, Thomas Vilgertshofer repeated the most important data of the project.

A total of around 600 residential units are to be built at Kreuzlinger Feld, 190 of which are subsidized and can therefore be rented from a square meter price of nine euros.

The binding period is 30 years.

The accusation by the citizens' initiative (BI) Livable Germering that no affordable living space is being created is completely wrong.

30 percent of the 600 subsidized apartments actually only cost nine euros per square meter, 70 percent 12.80 euros.

On average, that is 11.66 euros.

That is less than the average price of subsidized apartments from the district's housing association.

The Germeringer model was also developed together with the city, which ensures a mix of subsidized and non-subsidised apartments.

This is to prevent a kind of ghetto formation.

Kreuzlinger Feld: The primary school places

In addition to the apartments, 350 new primary school places, a children's home with four to six groups and a supermarket will be created in the western part of the site.

Medical practices, cafes, pharmacies and shops are planned along Alfons-Baumann-Straße.

According to Vilgertshofer, the immense effort that the investors put into the run-up to the referendum to present and explain the plans is justified.

The goal has been set that every open question about the residential area will be answered.

He and Bardenda as well as the staff of the two family-run housing associations will therefore also be available in the coming weeks at information stands, in the information pavilion at Kreuzlinger Feld, at doorstep dialogue and on many other occasions.

A special family event is even planned for Easter Monday, which will be announced in more detail: Easter egg hunts at Kreuzlinger Feld.

(By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular FFB newsletter.)

Kreuzlinger Feld: Election campaign comes to a head

From the point of view of Thomas Vilgertshofer, the election campaign leading up to the decision has come to a head in recent weeks.

There are increasingly ugly accents in the form of untrue claims or half-truths.

In addition to BI's statement that no subsidized housing is being created, this is also the assertion that no citizen participation has taken place.

The opposite is the case.

Already at the beginning of planning around five years ago, citizens were invited to expert discussions.

He always tried to talk to the residents himself.

And the opinions of the citizens received in the course of the procedure were always discussed and taken into account.

In contrast to the allegations by BI, great importance was always attached to sustainability and mobility during planning.

Bardenda illustrated this by referring to photovoltaics, district heating, green roofs, sustainable materials, unbuilt inner courtyards for deep-rooted trees, areas for water seepage and around 300 new tree plantings.

Car-sharing offers, charging stations for e-vehicles and public transport connections are also planned.

poll

The referendum will not take place until Sunday, April 24, but voting can begin today: since Thursday, the city has been sending postal voting documents to all around 30,000 eligible voters.

So the first ones can cast their vote today and send back the ballot paper.
