With the aim of expanding the segment of recipients of the anti-Coronavirus vaccine, mobile teams within six mosques in the city of Damascus administer the vaccine to worshipers after Friday prayers.
The teams assigned by the Damascus Health Directorate were present in the Ibrahim Khalil mosques in Masaken Barzeh and the Umayyad in Old Damascus, al-Huda in Mazzeh Jabal, Abu al-Nur in Rukn al-Din, al-Hamza, al-Abbas in the Abbasids, and al-Husayn in the field.
The Director of Damascus Health, Dr. Muhammad Samer Shahrour, told SANA reporter that the directorate sent mobile teams to several places, including parks and places of worship, with the aim of ensuring easy access for citizens to the vaccine and raising the percentage of vaccinated people, thus limiting the spread of the virus and its dangerous complications, stressing that the vaccine is safe, effective and free.
In turn, the head of the fifth health region, Dr. Laila Azzawi, pointed out the importance of immunizing the largest possible number of citizens to protect society, indicating that for the second dose, it will be given in the same place according to the specified date or through a health center according to the desire of the person receiving the vaccine.
