The expert committee recently got an overview of what is required in terms of culture.

The new CD will be ready soon.

And markets are planned again.

Geretsried – The middle fasting market recently attracted many visitors to the old town of Wolfratshausen.

Two markets are also planned in the center of Geretsried this year, Anita Zwicknagl, an employee of the cultural office, recently announced in the city council committee for young people, senior citizens, social affairs, culture and sport.

There she gave a review and outlook in terms of culture.

The first market is scheduled to take place on Sunday, June 12th at Karl-Lederer-Platz.

"Together with the clubs," explained Zwicknagl.

The "June Market" is already advertised in the city's calendar of events.

“Local exhibitors and artists offer a colorful variety of goods, handicrafts and lots of delicacies for your physical well-being.

A special program for our little visitors and musical entertainment invite them to linger," it reads.

Another market with Sunday shopping is planned for October, according to Zwicknagl.

Geretsried is relaunching the "Jazz dahoam" series

The forest summer, with which the Rosenheim host family Fahrenschon was again commissioned, is to take place from July 27th to August 7th.

In addition, the town hall employee referred to all kinds of exhibitions.

The "Egerländer Trachten" can currently be seen in the museum of the city of Geretsried.

Due to popular demand, the show has been extended to the end of May.

In cooperation with Albrecht Widmann's "Galerie an der Elbestraße", an exhibition by the city council, artist and ex-landlord Volker Witte is being planned for the end of April.

According to Zwicknagl, artists will also be involved in the visit from Geretsried's French twin town Chamalières (July 20th to 24th).

Musically, the city wants to put on the "Jazz dahoam" series again.

With her, "the tight time window" in which concerts were possible was already used last year.

Zwicknagl listed eight performances by musicians and bands in September.

In addition, there was the cultural autumn, exhibitions, readings, holiday pass campaigns and open air events on Karl-Lederer-Platz.

"I hope that there will be many concerts again this year," said Zwicknagl.

What the "Music City of Geretsried" has to offer in terms of brass music and jazz is to be shown on a CD that is currently in the works.

"We have so many groups that there will be two CDs," reported the cultural office employee about the recordings.

She hopes that it will soon go to the pressing plant.

Cultural officer Hans Ketelhut (CSU) is in charge of the project.

The CD will represent the musical repertoire in the city beautifully and will be a good gift, he said.

"I'm proud of the artists." sw
