District – After a two-year Corona break, there will be another training tour in the Miesbach district on April 7th.

Over 500 students can discover 62 companies.

On Thursday, April 7th, after the Corona break, it's that time again: Under the motto "1 day, 3 companies and you!" More than 500 schoolchildren go on a tour of discovery in 62 companies in the Miesbach district.

The training tour organized by the SMG location marketing company (SMG) offers them this unique opportunity.

The need to catch up in terms of career orientation is enormous on both sides due to corona-related restrictions: schoolchildren who are about to graduate are also looking for the perfect training company, as are regional companies looking for motivated young professionals.

62 companies open in the district of Miesbach

As part of the training tour, 62 companies from the Miesbach district open their doors to students.

They can choose between different professional fields such as technology, crafts, social affairs or gastronomy.

Overall, the offer includes 62 different apprenticeships and 17 dual study opportunities in regional companies on your own doorstep.

There is an overview of all tours on the website www.bildungstour-miesbach.de.

"When organizing the training tour, we work closely with the schools and companies in the Miesbach district," says Johann Holzinger, regional manager for education and project manager for the training tour at SMG.

"Everyone is looking forward to finally giving the students direct insight into the company on site again and getting to know each other personally.

Numerous training contracts have been concluded in recent years thanks to the training tour.”

BRB supports training tour

On each tour, a group of up to 15 students visits up to three companies on foot, by bus or by train.

A total of twelve buses are in use.

All train journeys are free of charge for all participants on the day of the training tour thanks to the support of the Bavarian Regiobahn (BRB).

Pupils from the 15 participating schools can take part voluntarily.

Everyone decides for themselves which of the 35 tours they want to be part of.

Every company takes the time to introduce itself and to show its different apprenticeships and dual study opportunities.

The school groups are accompanied throughout the day by teachers and employees from SMG and the Employment Agency.

"The training tour is a great thing for training companies and those looking for training and has been something special for years," says Michael Vontra, Managing Director of the Employment Agency in Rosenheim.

"That's why our employees from Employer Service and Career Advice support you in accompanying the tours." The 35 tours with 525 available registration places were fully booked within half a day after they were activated.

48 students from Rottach-Egern middle school

Ulrich Throner, rector of the Rottach-Egern elementary and middle school and chairman of the Miesbach school-business working group, is delighted that his students can finally get a taste of real working life again: “48 students from the Rottach-Egern middle school will take part.

For our school in particular, the training tour is a unique opportunity to gain an insight into companies in the immediate vicinity, as the tour stops at 18 companies from the Tegernsee valley alone.”

Patron of the training tour and important supporter of the project is District Administrator Olaf von Löwis: "The training tour offers real added value for young people and is so successful that our neighboring districts are now asking us and want to implement the concept in their regions as well.
