Russian President Vladimir Putin and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko discussed today the developments in Ukraine and bilateral relations.
The TASS news agency reported that Putin and Lukashenko discussed in a phone call today the current situation and its developments in Ukraine and prospects for developing relations between Russia and Belarus. The conversation also touched on a number of issues related to cooperation between the two countries.
Last month, Lukashenko stressed that Russia is not just an ally of Belarus, saying: "We are a people of the same roots and one entity in the economic and military spheres."
