Data released by the Center for the COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) in Thailand shows that due to the mutated virus strain Omicron, the number of newly diagnosed cases in Thailand has been rising for several months in a single day. Government health departments urge citizens to strictly observe epidemic prevention measures.

The ministry also issued a warning about the upcoming Songkran festival, saying there could be an increased risk of the virus spreading.

About 72.3% of Thailand's population has so far been vaccinated, and 33.9% have received booster doses.
