A bus on line 730 of the Kavim company hit an electric bicycle driver in the square at the intersection of Hillel Yaffe and Ehad Ha'am streets this evening (Saturday).
As a result of the injury, the cyclist, a 40-year-old man whose identity is still unknown, was killed.
The bus left the nearby Central Station, hitting the rider while he was inside the traffic circle.
The accident occurred around 9 p.m.
MDA medics and paramedics arrived at the scene and provided the victim with medical treatment. They performed resuscitation operations at the end of which they were forced to determine his death. MDA paramedic Ron Alex said: " "It was very difficult. We provided him with medical treatment and performed advanced resuscitation on him, but his injury was critical."

The bus driver is a resident of Umm al-Fahm in his 40s.
He was detained for questioning and taken to the examination department at Hadera station.
The driver claimed the cyclist burst into the square while he was already inside it.
Near the bicycle was a bottle of alcohol, which according to evidence collected by the police was in the hand of the unidentified cyclist.
Hadera police chief Sen. Zohar Muslawi arrived at the scene. The policemen collected the recordings from the security cameras in the nearby businesses for the purpose of the investigation
