British police have arrested 83 people in Essex, east London, after climate change protesters closed the country's oil stations.
"Hundreds of activists from the groups Extinction Rebellion and Just Stop Oil called for the closure of oil stations across Britain, and some of their supporters boarded oil tankers as part of a campaign to compel the government to end its dependence on fossil fuels," Reuters quoted police as saying in a statement.
Earlier today, the British capital, London, witnessed protests against the rise in gas and electricity prices, in which the demonstrators demanded the departure of Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
